WeedShear ($134) is our most popular weed cutter (by far) and it has evolved through years with various other models with similar characteristics. (We have now built what we are quite certain is the best cutter available.)

However we have a few of the old style cutters still available.

Keep in mind.... We sold these for a number of years and we sold A LOT of them - and we always had GREAT reviews - thats because the WeedShear didnt exist yet.

Save a bunch money ($50) off the WeedShear price and here's the basic difference...

It has a 2 part handle rather than the new 3 part handle that gives various options for use.

It must be assembled completely and the new WeedShear comes nearly fully assembled.

Instructions are a bit sketchy but we can get your through it.

We did have some handles break and we have no more parts. About a 2% failure - a fairly safe bet.

Its heavier and harder to throw than the WeedShear. (only about 3 pounds more - not major but it makes a difference)

The blades are not as sharp but it still comes with a sharpener so you can sharpen them as much as you desire. (very high quality material though)

There is a spot in the shaft where the blades come together that tends to collect extra weeds.

It has a shorter rope but you can of course add more if you need.
